Blogger Wins Court Case After Being Called A ‘Hooker’

Zoe Margolis speaks very openly about sex. Using the pseudonym ‘Abby Lee’, her online blog ‘Girl With a One Track Mind’ has gained popularity in recent years, resulting in 2 books being published. Zoe’s aim is to change old fashioned views about women and sexuality, giving girls all over the UK more confidence to enjoy their sex lives without feeling guilty for it.

Margolis had not anticipated that the surge of interest in her writing would result in her true identity being outed; this was the first hurdle she had to deal with. Suddenly, all of the sexual escapades she had written about became publicly linked to her, against her wishes. Then came the next blow: the Independent newspaper made a grave mistake when they referrred to Margolis as a prostitute. Printing an article written by the sex blogger, they created the headline “I was a hooker who became an agony aunt”. These were not the words of Margolis, and they certainly weren’t true; she has never worked in the sex industry or accepted money for sexual acts.

Although the newspaper quickly amended the error, the printed version had already been released and the online version had already spread around the world in seconds. Margolis decided to sue The Independent for libel and defamation, having been caused a great deal of stress and embarrassment by the mistake.

The court hearing took place in London this morning; some of our London escorts followed the story eagerly as they are fans of the blog. Although the exact figures are known, we can now reveal that Margolis has received “substantial damages” having won her case. This is a great victory for the writer, whose main objective was to clear her name. Not only had her friends, family and colleagues read that she was a hooker, but so had the rest of the world and all of her fans. This information was completely fabricated and was very upsetting for Margolis.

This case has done wonders to raise the profile of ‘Girl With A One Track Mind’. Now, those who had never heard of the blog or the books can log on and read her witty, frank take on the sex life of a single girl in London. We can expect to see a rise in sales of her books, which will hopefully come as some consolation to the defamed Zoe Margolis!
