No Regrets

It’s all too easy for people to tell you to have no regrets. If we genuinely didn’t, life would be grand! But unfortunately, most of us have at least one thing in our lives that we would go back and change if we could. Men and women ponder quite different things, so here’s some of the most common regrets from a male point of view; you might find that you relate to it.

So many guys reminisce about ‘the one that got away’. At some point in your life, there was a girl who you considered to be way out of your league; she probably looked like a supermodel, laughed like an angel and had all of the skills to be a perfect girlfriend. Men often don’t bother making a move for girls like this because they’re scared of rejection – it would feel so much worse having her knock you back than not trying at all. It’s often easier to just hire a beautiful London escort instead, not having to worry about that. But if you don’t try and get the girl of your dreams, you’ll spend the rest of your life wondering what might have been. It might not go the way you want it to, but we suggest you bite the bullet and ask her out, at least then you know you’ve tried!

During our teenage years we spend as much time as possible with our parents, desperate for some independence. What we sometimes forget as we grow up is that our parents won’t be around forever. Spend quality time with your father whenever you can, even if you haven’t had a close relationship; you never know when he will be gone. Your parents shape the person you are and are a part of you, so make the most of them while you can. One of men’s biggest regrets is not spending enough time with their fathers.

Looking at the soaring divorce rates, it’s no surprise that a number of men regret getting married too young. Many wish they had played the field more while they were still young, energetic and virile; this is something to really think about because divorce doesn’t only affect you. If there are children involved, the decision is much harder and the regrets are much bigger.

As an adult, you tend to feel that you have to be responsible. You really shouldn’t splurge on that sports car when you have bills to pay, and as much fun as that weekend with your mates away sounds, you really should focus on your career. These are the kind of things you might regret later in life; you only live once, so take chances while you can and allow yourself some treats. It’ll be worth it in the long run!
