‘The Road’ Coming Soon To Cinemas

The Road, the bleak post-apocalyptic work of fiction by legendary author Cormac McCarthy, was rated the number one in the Times’ 100 Best Books of the Decade. The story follows a man and his son as they traipse the barren wasteland of post-apocalyptic America. And, like his previous work, No Country for Old Men, it has been subject to a film remake which should arrive in UK cinemas in early January 2010.

Featuring Viggo Mortensen, of Lord of the Rings fame, if it succeeds half as well as the book did, it should be one of the best films of 2010. The film follows the same plot as the book, following a man and his son as they struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic future, trying to avoid the groups of cannibals that now wander the country.

It could be quite an experience, so you might want to take a Bexeley Escort along with you.
