Leona Lewis Takes London By Storm

British sweetheart Leona Lewis played to a packed out O2 arena last night as part of her ‘Labyrinth’ tour, her first full solo tour since winning X Factor back in 2006. During that time, she has released 2 albums – ‘Spirit’ and ‘Echo’. Supported by young Australian singer Gabriella Cilmi, Leona proved that she is now a fully fledged star by wowing the crowds with her incredible voice.

Introduced as the “voice of an angel”, Leona had an impressive set and a very talented group of dancers, whose routines included being suspended from the ceiling with ribbons. The theme of her tour is based on her favourite 1980s film (also called ‘Labyrinth’) starring David Bowie. She recaptured the magic and mystique of the film in her set, making an impressive visual display.

The singer had several outfit stages throughout her 19 song show; at first she wore a provocative black studded dress with thigh boots, but then changed into some lavish ball gowns to belt out her ballads. She was looking her absolute best, having obviously worked hard to maintain her firm figure. This became apparent when she changed into a skin tight pair of black leggings and a crop top; she has definitely lost weight and toned up since her X Factor days, and is looking gorgeous.

Many of our Mole Valley escorts have been fans of Leona since she was on the show, and enjoy singing along to hits such as ‘Bleeding Love’ and ‘Happy’. She also sang some cover songs in her concert, including a “camp fire” version of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’ and Roberta Flack’s classic ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ to which she got a standing ovation. Leona finished off the show with a note perfect version of ‘Run’ by Snow Patrol, which she had originally sung in Radio 1’s live lounge. She then returned for an encore, performing her most well known hit, Bleeding Love.

Leona will be performing at the O2 again tonight, and is bound to impress the crowd once again with her performance. She is a true talent, and has the full package – great looks, a sweet personality and an incredible voice. She thanked the audience for supporting her and described it as a “dream come true” for her to be singing at that famous London venue. We wish her the best of luck with the rest of her tour.
